Pinghe School High School Department | 平和学校高中部

Shanghai Pinghe School High School Department is established in September, 2002. It was then officially authorized by IBO on June 3rd, 2003 and became a formal IB World Schools. It offers students a rich and rigorous IB Diploma Programme designed to sharpen students' study skills and critical thinking abilities, as they discover and develop their own special interests and talents.

First IBDP graduation took place in June, 2005 with 12 students. In 2009, 38 students will graduate in the high school IB section. Top graduates have enrolled at Cornell University, Stanford University, University of California, Berkeley, Washington University in St. Louis, University of Toronto, McGill University, University of British Columbia, Imperial College London, University of Sydney, et cetera.

At the cornerstone of IB program is the gifted faculty, whose talents, energy, and dedication play a vital role in IB graduates' success.

TOK - Theory of Knowledge, an interdisciplinary requirement intended to stimulate critical reflection on knowledge and experience gained inside and outside the classroom

EXTENDED ESSAY- an independent research paper of 4000 words

CREATIVITY, ACTION, SERVICE- the compulsory participation in Creativity, Action and Service (CAS) Program, an important component of the International Baccalaureate curriculum, emphasizes on the all-round development of a student.

Pinghe IB Program has successfully finished its first 5-year evaluation.

上海平和双语学校高中部成立于2002年9月，并于2003年6月通过了IBDP认证，成为正式IB学校。高中部现有教师均为本科以上学历。

平和学校作为是国际文凭组织（IBO）正式授权实施大学预科项目IBDP的成员学校，完成该项目的学生，可凭该项目的文凭和证书直接报考北美、欧洲各国、澳洲、新西兰的大学，尤其是具有相当知名度的大学。

该课程由六个学科组和三项核心作业组成。六个学科组分别为第一语言、第二语言、实验科学（可从物理、化学等中任选一门）、数学、人与社会（可从经济学、计算机信息技术等中任选一门）和艺术（或者一门选修课程）。三项核心作业分别是拓展性论文、知识论（TOK）和"创造、活动和服务"项目（CAS）。以上各科除中文外其余全英文教学，高中第一年为预备班，后两年为正式班。

平和首届毕业生毕业于2005年，共有12名学生。
